Episode 19: John Huddart—The Role of Fathers, Indigenous Wisdom & Toolkits for Health

John Huddart is a father, coach, Iron Man and one of my best friends. Since reconnecting with John three years ago and hiring him as my first health coach, both of our lives have changed dramatically. John left Vancouver, trading in 700 sq ft for 45 acres in the Comox Valley where he’s learning to run a farm with his wife while they build a retreat centre for deep healing and growth. John and I are similar in many ways and in this episode he shares some of the big lessons he’s learned from plant medicines, including tobacco, Indigenous cultures, the powerful impact of mens work and how it can deeply heal our society’s issues with the role of fathers, and how parenting is his current endurance sport.
