Move Lab: Precision Running Analysis
The latest episode in my Road to 70.3 is an in-depth running analysis at Move Lab. I’ve been working with the team here for a couple of months now since I crashed my bike in March, they’ve helped me to bounce back, get stronger and now we’re diving into some real objective insights with the support of their high-tech equipment to support the hands on work. I learned a lot from the experience and will continue to implement lessons into my training going forward | Link

How To Get More Protein On A Plant-Based Diet
In general, I feel that most humans should be eating meat at least some of the time. However there are different times in our lives that going vegetation can be really helpful in reseting our system, and in the end its about listening to our bodies. The fact is that most of us can’t hear those messages clearly and our ego will hi-jack the process, so watch out! If you are committing to a meat-less period, which I currently am, then its still important to get enough protein. I find Kion to be really helpful and this article offers useful insights into how to do it properly | Link

Heart Rate Variability
Following up on the recent episode with Dan Plews, we wanted to share a brief overview of Heart Rate Variability, or HRV. It’s something at the center of Dan’s work, but at many athletes training as well. Using HRV to guide workouts, recovery periods, when to push it and how to read it. Ultimately it would be great to be able to feel our way through life and sport, but so many of us are disconnected from our hearts, our bodies and our sense of authentic energy levels, so using tools like the Oura ring and Whoop are great ways to get in touch with ourselves and begin to trust out hearts to guide the way | Link

The Mastery of Love: A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I’ve gone through it 2.5 times in the last two years and continue to learn more from it with each page I read and re-read. Don Miguel Ruiz’s work is beautiful, timeless and rings with truth for the heart and soul. The Four Agreements is also an iconic and great book worth multiple reads, but I can’t say enough about how The Mastery of Love has helped in my own journey of self-love, relationships with others and an continued growth and opening to life | Link
