Jan Frodeno on Legacy

Recently I’ve become super interested in cycling, triathlon and ironman, which quickly brought me to Jan Frodeno. An incredible sport and accomplishment just to complete any triathlon, Jan is an absolute inspiration when it comes to performance and approach in this realm. I recently watched the 2019 Ironman in Kona on youtube, and since have listened to a couple of podcasts with Jan which I highly recommend | Link

Chasing the Present

There are an increasing number of powerful films and documentary series highlighting modalities of healing, growth and mindfulness, which is great. Chasing the Present is directed by Mark Waters and follows James Sebastiano as he takes two years to travel the world, learning from some of the modern masters of living life. James’ story is very relatable and the way the film is shot is really beautiful, weaving epic vistas with close portraits and featuring a telling conversation between James and his father. There is plenty of wisdom in this film, worth watching multiple times | Link

Nick Bare

Over the last few months I’ve dived deeper and deeper into Nick Bare, his approach to movement and the content he’s been sharing from training for Ironman to opening up about an eating disorder and being inspired by the passing away of his mother. He has a captivating attitude, holistic approach and shares a lot of very practical tips aside from the bigger more vulnerable stories and experiences | Link

Plant Material

Episode 33 of the podcast featured David Godshall and Jenny Jones of Terremoto, an innovative landscape design studio with a cult-following. After speaking with David, he mentioned a side project he’s been involved in called Plant Material, which I was excited to check out. With an increased interest on growing plants and vegetables at home, Plant Material is the perfect answer for a well-curated shop offering tools, plants, books and soft goods to inspire a deeper connection with our land | Link

Caffeine Detoxing with Kion

I love coffee, and have as long as I can remember. Each morning I wake up and look forward to a big cup of warm caffeine blended with some grass-fed butter or cacoa butter. However when it comes time to prepare for a retreat, I’m confronted with the challenge of detoxing from caffeine and facing up to the mild addiction I have to it. Kion recently released a decaf coffee and an in-depth article that outlines how to manage your relationship with caffeine in a healthy way | Link
