Introducing: Alpine Fitness
Alpine Fitness is a technical quality lifestyle brand, designed in Canada for living hardware. Produced in limited, hand-crafted units the range is created for a holistic mode of being; inspiring movement, fitness and development of mind and body. The collection is an evolving organism augmented by creativity, exploration and existence.
The Objective: Making high quality cut & sew lifestyle active sportswear, across all ranges of fitness. All the while sourcing the best fabrics and quality hardware domestically. Enjoy this for now as we prepare more and more for your mind and body.
From the designer:
“The intuition of Alpine Fitness came in 2019. The name was inspired by a Confucius quote, “the man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”
Since my youth, I’ve always found active wear to be expected and predictably short-lasting. I personally craved something that did justice to the human body and was made of the utmost, locally sourced, highest quality fabrics possible. With this in mind, in 2019, I began drafting Alpine Fitness.
I gave special attention to the cuts of the garments, the quality and provenance of the fabric, and even the hardware; zippers and buttons. By working with committed suppliers, we found and sourced fabrics that were made in Canada, which is very important to us. Together with my favorite graphic designer, Paul Nicholson, we made an essentialist and communicative logo and in this way, the clothing will bear the mark of our performance and our hearts. So we now introduce you to our first iteration, our first foray, our lifestyle collection 2021. Enjoy this for now as we prepare more and more for you by carrying away small stones one at a time.”
The collection is designed and the cut & sew items are all custom-developed and produced in Canada but legendary fleece mill, Roopa. The hardwearing, cotton goods are made to be worn, made to last and feature timeless graphics that reference the outdoors, technical workout specs and cultural nods to the gym and the lifestyle of the brand.
