Satisfy Running — California is for Runners
The latest collection by Satisfy focuses in on the diversity of running in California. Both in the men featured and the landscapes, the campaign features Hakim Tafari, Ellis Newton and Dillon Breen in tie dyes, earthy washes and collegiate inspired pieces. As usual, the products mix washed out moth-eaten cottons with high-end technical fabrications that trademark the Parisian labels goods. The main story however are the runners, who offer a glimpse into their own love of running in California: "Running in California, especially in LA, has given me a sense of freedom, a sense of purpose. I feel like I've really developed my own sense of being through running in LA. You have to have a certain sense of strength, power and commitment and not be afraid to explore” – Hakim Tafari | Link

In their words, “Open broadens the world of modern meditation, drawing from practices old and new, designing varied, more reliable ways in to the present moment. Our approach grounds the experience in your senses, using music, sound, breath, and movement to interrupt the chatter in our minds and anchor in the here and now.” | Link

How does the Carnivore Diet work?
Dr. Paul Saladino just published his book, The Carnivore Code, which dives in deep on how and why the carnivore diet might be a worth a try. It’s something I’ve considered recently, but feels hard to approach. In this podcast episode with Luke Story, Paul gets into the details of why plants might not be the most optimal foods and how rich eating nose to tail can be. It’s a somewhat controversial diet for several reasons from nutrition to sustainability, but he makes an interesting argument which is worth listening to if nothing else | Link

Attachment Theory
Attachment theory is defined as “is a psychological, evolutionary and ethological theory concerning relationships between humans. The most important tenet is that young children need to develop a relationship with at least one primary caregiver for normal social and emotional development.” It’s core to understanding how we learn to cope as human beings growing up, first with our parents and then in our adult relationships, especially romantically. Gaining awareness of ourselves is one of the vital steps towards healing and growth, and its likely understanding what sort of attachment methods you use can help to navigate the worth in a more healthy balanced way | Link

Are You Eating Enough Protein?
Generally I find Bulletproof’s blog a reliable and useful resource for recipes and nutrition articles, with sources, easy to read articles and free downloadable guides. Recently they published a piece on protein, with an outline for how much you might want to consume based on your goals and lifestyle, and what the best quality sources are. If you’ve been tracking your nutrition closely for years, it might not be mind blowing, but for most of us, its a useful guide to finding the right balance | Link
