About the Experience:
The first MEP Cycling Retreat was conceived and designed to explore ourselves through movement, in community while in connection with nature. Through breathwork, meditation, yoga and cycling we’ll use our bodies to release, grow and connect to ourSelves and one another. It will be deeply intimate, sharing meals, long rides and practices of inner exploration through the breath and emotions alongside the outer exploration on two wheels. We recommend coming with an open mind, no expectations and of course, a bike. Base camp is set up in a beautiful forest in Marin, with a movement space, pool, plenty of grass and trees to help us re-balance our nervous system. You’ll also receive a full cycling kit from Rapha, a Walden meditation cushion, breakfast from Holos and more by joining us for this life-expanding journey inside and out.
Your Hosts: Ryan Willms & Alex Dickinson
MEP (mindful endurance program) was started by Ryan Willms, as a way to bring spirituality and sport together. While diving deep into emotional work of his own, the parallel development of physical endurance not only supported this growth but the two complemented and helped each other, and so Ryan has begun developing a series of workshops and experiences where we can use the medium of movement practice to connect more deeply to ourSelf and others.
Alex Dickinson is a runner, triathlete, writer, and yoga teacher who has fallen in love with Wyoming over the past year. After living in New York City, Portland, and now the Bay Area, Alex approaches running and yoga practice with a similar mindset—as ways to connect mind and body, explore internal and external landscapes, and simply feel better. He finds the pairing of the pursuits is greater than the sum of its parts. And it's his mission to share the gifts these practices have given him.
