You Must Make The Choice

This article offers a brief meditation on a simple but overlooked fact of our being. That simple fact is this
- if you can fully accept responsibility for your choices you will become truly human. Accepting responsibility for your choices is the only way to fully unlock all of the potential that is part-and-parcel of being a human.

I invite you to choose now to release the old parts of you that no longer serve you. In so doing you will be able to cherish the opportunity to embody those beings and their life expression that most serves you.

Realizing how potentially easy it is to become what you really want to be, one is naturally tempted to be a glutton and run away with the beauty of existence and All that is offered us. You can if you wish! Just remember, tomorrow will come. If you can fully embrace your decision tomorrow, if you can be the loving parent of every choice you make, then you are well on your way to falling in love with your new self! If you can’t accept the decisions you’ve made, in any given instance, you may run and hide, play dead, do some “lousy drugs” to bury it all, or trust in the journey and accept that you will do better each time you are given the opportunity. It is human nature to “do better”.

As easy as it sounds, isn’t it amazing how hard it is to get ourselves to change!

The reason change is so hard is because we each regulate how much life we want to experience at any given moment. If your current state of perception is limited by judgments, particularly judgments with lots of pain attached, you are holding onto a lot of the past. In so doing, you must remember that energy always wants to create; the pain and/or negative energy connected to any judgment will want to transform itself into something. So here is where it gets interesting... you hold onto negative energy from judgments made against you or another, and the negative energy can only create in you what you create in your environment.

Yes, you did understand me correctly...To say it again so I’m sure we are clear, “you can only create inside yourself what you are creating outside yourself". This holds true for both the positive experiences and the negative ones.

So what does that mean you may ask?

Well, I’ll tell you, but please keep in mind the multitude of variables there are in any situation where consciousness is involved.

What I am saying relates to a principle of energy exchange, which simply says that like attracts likeCancerous thoughts are an organizing force behind cancer formation. All energy is creative and creative energy follows thought forms and thought forms are the creative structure we hold greatest individual license over. Someone can take away our pay, our belongings, even cut off an arm or a leg, but they can’t control the thoughts we have or create in our mind. Thus, we have the greatest license - control - over our individual thoughts.

Thoughts typically command emotions. But just as importantly, your emotions allow you to feel yourself think. If you had no emotions, you wouldn’t know you were thinking. You'd be but a pipe with something flowing through it!

Why is change hard? Emotions connect us with life - even painful emotions. The act of holding on to anything you deem painful releases the energy and emotion tied to that painful experience. So refusing to change - refusing to let go of painful experiences - is a way of staying connected to life.

More importantly, the act of holding onto anything you deem painful releases the energy and emotion tied to that painful experience. Those energies and emotions immediately permeate your being and begin to create whatever they can. What they can create is what there is already a blueprint for. Our thoughts are those blueprints. Good thoughts produce good, enjoyable emotional experiences, and negative, destructive or disempowering thoughts produce negative deflating emotional experiences.

Whatever your condition in life right now, you can thank yourself for it. You may find yourself in absolute awe and blessedness over what you’ve created, or, you can be in absolute disgust with your “self”! It’s totally up to you.

There you have it... people don’t like to change because when they hold onto energy, it makes them feel alive. Feeling alive is what it’s all about.

So now, ask yourself, and simply be honest: Is my desire for change greater than my resistance to change?

If your desire for change dominates, change happens, and you feel alive!

If your desire for change cannot overcome your own internal resistance to change, then you are surely feeling that war within, and feeling exactly at the level of reality that you fight it at. Your emotional experience is your reality - your chosen reality.

Let me put the point a little more poetically.

You know you are alive when you are fighting it, and you know you are alive when you are flowing with it.

Choose the changes in your life that serve you - your dreams, the experiences you desire to have - and you can feel life creating something you really like by simply choosing to!

In every situation in life, there are always decisions to be made. We learn first to create what we want. Second, we learn to take responsibility for our creations. Third, we finally come to the point of satisfaction with what we’ve created.

To execute and embody the changes that bring life into your dreams...now that, my friends, is the true source of good rest, sweet drams, passion and vitality!
